Terms of Use

Welcome to Songbook. By using Songbook you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, whether or not you register as a member. If you wish to become a Songbook member and communicate with other Songbook members and make use of the Songbook service, read these Terms of Use and indicate your acceptance of them during the registration process.

Songbook does not intend to provide accurate or official content (including, but not limited to, lyrics, chords, tablature, music, videos, and sheet music) for any particular artist, but merely by-ear representations. These representations are to be used for study, skill development, scholarship, and personal use only. The primary purpose of Songbook is to provide a rich, valuable, fun, and interactive online resource for musicians who want to further their instrument skills and also to provide them with access to their music anywhere they go. Songbook does not seek to violate or infringe on copyrights or copyrighted material. Should you decide to post any content (including, but not limited to, lyrics, chords, tablature, music, videos, and sheet music) by an artist other than yourself, Songbook strongly encourages that you purchase the artist’s album and official sheet music and, using the field provided in the Add/Edit Song page on the Songbook Website, also provide other users with a functioning web link where they can purchase the artist’s album and/or official sheet music. Songbook does not take responsibility for what you (the user) chooses to publish on your Songbook account.

Songbook reserves the right to terminate any account without notice and without reason. Songbook also reserves the right to remove any user-generated content (including, but not limited to songs, files, images, posts, and set lists). Songbook will not tolerate harassment (including, but not limited to, racism, sexism, offensive language meant to harm another’s feelings, threats, etc.) or illegal uses of its services such as pornography. Songbook will immediately terminate any account violating these rules.

As a condition to accessing Songbook, the User agrees to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not wish to be bound by this agreement, do not access Songbook.

This agreement is entered into by and between Songbook and any individual, corporation, association, agency, company, or other entity who accesses or uses Songbook.
